Dame Maggie Smith

A much-loved Dame of the global stage and screen, Maggie Smith is currently performing in A German Life at London’s Bridge Theatre. She is perhaps best known in recent years for her portrayals of the formidable Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey’s Dowager Countess. She has won multiple awards, including the Best Actress Oscar in 1970 for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, and has appeared in numerous productions of Shakespeare.
