Professor Jonathan Van Tam
Professor Jonathan Van Tam specialises in Health Protection at the University of Nottingham, and was seconded in 2017 as the UK Government’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he has become known for his creative use of metaphors to explain complex science to the public. In his spare time he enjoys mountain walking, fishing, and Boston United FC. Read more about his life here.
