Peter Tatchell

Australian-born LGBT+ campaigner Peter Tatchell is Patron of Pride London. His first book, The Battle for Bermondsey, described his experience of the 1983 by-election which he contested and the hate campaign used against him. Later books include AIDS: a guide to survival, Europe in the Pink and Safer Sexy. Today the Peter Tatchell Foundation promotes and protects human rights in the UK and internationally. His recreations include ‘ambushing tyrants and torturers’.
